Hi, I’m Dec!
In January 2025, I made the toughest decision to date - one that led me to begin to transform my life.
For 19 years, from 2006 to January 2025, I was an addict. Initially addicted to Cocaine and from 2021 - 2025 that addiction led me to become addicted to Crystal Meth (Methamphetamine) which very quickly developed into a Chemsex addiction.
Why am I telling you this? Because in January 2025, I decided to explore what life would be like without using all those substances. I woke up one day (thankfully) and made the decision to choose life - and I haven’t looked back since.
Sure, it wasn’t easy. In fact 2025 was simultaneously the most hardest and transformative year of my life.
I’ve re-learned and developed new, healthier ways to cope and I’m on a recovery journey that isn’t defined by anyone’s expectation except my own but more importantly, I’m falling in love with the version of myself that I am actively creating.
I created this website to demonstrate to others that it is OK to talk. It’s OK to be vulnerable but the biggest thing - it’s OK to start again.
Here you’ll find out more about me, my life and my struggles but more importantly you’ll find information and resources that might be useful to you if you’re struggling or navigating your own recovery journey.
I firmly believe in turning pain into purpose and this website is one of the results of that.
So, take a look around and if you want to get in touch - please do! You can find all my contact details in the top right and bottom right corners of the site.
Yesterday is the past, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift - that’s why it’s called present.
